Marketing & Communications Manager

Location:

This position is based in Harare, though the Marketing & Communications Manager may be asked to travel to our Hubs around the country from time to time.

Employment Type:

This is a full-time, in-person position with potential for hybrid remote work.

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Working with key stakeholders to set the Marketing direction for the organization.
• Designing and implementing a marketing strategy across web, social, email, and physical channels.
• Working with key stakeholders to market all Uncommon products, programs and services.
• Collaborating with the Education Team to constantly improve and refine the Digital Marketing curriculum.
• Meeting with Digital Marketing instructors weekly for training and up-skilling.
• Collaborating with the Fundraising and Business Development Teams on campaigns, partnerships, events and initiatives.

Requirements:

Requirements include but are not limited to:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field of study.
• 5+ years of professional marketing experience.
• Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills (with an emphasis on writing).
• Great organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to important details.
• Credible experience in Google Analytics, Ads, and Social Media Marketing.
• Ability to strategize, innovate and lead with little supervision.
• An incredible passion for our mission.
