This position is based in Harare, though the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager may be asked to travel around the country to visit our various programs from time to time.

This is a full-time, in-person position with potential for hybrid remote work.

Position Overview:

The M&E Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing Uncommon’s Monitoring & Evaluation strategy and working with all key stakeholders to collect data, evaluate impact, report findings to management, and suggest areas for programmatic improvement.

The M&E Manager will report directly to the Country Manager and CEO and is expected to be a self-motivated, ambitious leader who is eager to drive Uncommon’s next phase of growth.

Uncommon is a nonprofit Trust organization established under Zimbabwean law in 2018.

Mission: To provide free digital education and employment training to young adults from underserved communities around the world.

Goal: To make Zimbabwe the most tech literate country in Africa, and then replicate our model in developing communities around the world. 

In 2023, Uncommon provided free computer coding lessons to over 5,000 primary and secondary students in Harare and Bulawayo, and trained more than 100 unemployed young adults for the technology workforce. In 2024, Uncommon is on pace to double its impact while preparing for nationwide expansion.
