Uncommon.org Wins Grant From Australian Embassy in Zimbabwe

This latest grant from the Australian Embassy will provide $45,000 to be used towards the construction of three new Innovation Hubs in Zimbabwe, including our first outside of Harare.

As an organization we’re almost at a loss of words when it comes to expressing our gratitude to the Australian Embassy in Zimbabwe. Since our first Innovation Hub in July of 2019, the Australian Embassy has been involved with each of our next five builds, providing crucial funding to support the construction costs.

We are honored by the relationship that we have built with the Embassy over the past couple of years and are delighted that they share our vision for Zimbabwe. Together, we will provide technology jobs to hundreds of unemployed Zimbabweans and will teach computer coding to thousands of school children.

Over the next few months, we will be posting to our Instagram page with real-time updates on the progress of the Hub construction and delivery. If you’re reading this now, we hope you’ll follow along and share our story with friends & family.

Thank you AU Embassy for being a most valued partner. We are beyond grateful for your support.
